Elementary Principal

LEIGH LEDET is the elementary school principal.  She has been at Concord Christian School for ten years and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Mrs. Ledet taught for many years in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee before accepting a position at CCS.  She has been married twenty eight years and has two adult children who both attended Concord Christian School.  Her favorite part of each day is visiting classrooms and watching students engaged in learning.  Mrs. Ledet enjoys kayaking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Middle School Principal

AMANDA LANE is the Middle School Principal. Over her eighteen years at CCS, she has watched the growth from a small K-5 school to the current K-12 school with many opportunities.  She enjoys working with middle school students because of their energetic personalities and desire to live out their Christian faith.  Mrs. Lane’s undergraduate degree is a B.A. from Maryville College in Child Development and Learning with Teacher Licensure.  She is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership through Carson Newman University.  She and her husband, Justin, have three sons who are all students at CCS.  Jacob is in fifth grade, and Joshua and Aaron are freshmen and members in the inaugural Pride of the Den Marching Band.  In her free time, Mrs. Lane also enjoys reading and scrapbooking.

High School Principal

NATHAN PIFER graduated from Covenant College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.  In 1989 he earned his Master of Arts in Education from Western Carolina University, and in 2008 received his Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University.  Nathan has 16 years of teaching experience in higher education and two years of administrative experience as the assistant high school principal at the Christian Academy of Knoxville.  He has also had a successful coaching career that spanned 32 years, most recently as the head men’s soccer coach at Covenant College. 

Through all of this, Nathan has been a mentor to young people, building trusting relationships with both students and their families.  He has dealt with the challenges that come from working with students, be it academic, spiritual or behavioral struggles.  Nathan looks back at all of these experiences that the Lord has put in place as great preparation for his role at Concord Christian School.

Nathan and his wife, Angie, have been married for 33 years and have two married sons. The Pifer family is excited about the transition back to Knoxville.

STEPHANIE MASON has a B.S. in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and has held various marketing and sales positions for Ford Motor Company for 10 years.  Mike and Stephanie were married almost 22 years ago and have enjoyed the many adventures God has taken them on together.  She has 3 incredible children and was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom with them for 17 years.  She is Abigayle, Madeleine and William’s biggest fan! Five years ago her family moved here from Dusseldorf, Germany and she never anticipated God’s plan for her here at CCS.   She loves Women’s Bible Studies and is a Beth Moore “Junky” and her favorite day off activity is taking her dog Chewie for walks at local parks.

Athletic Director

BRUCE E. JOHNSON is the Athletic Director. With more than 40 years of experience in athletics in both coaching and administration, Coach Johnson started his athletic career at Youngstown State University on a baseball scholarship. Throughout his career in teaching and athletics, Bruce has been recognized numerous times: by President Jimmy Carter for his 21 years in the classroom, named Associated Press Basketball Coach of the Year in Ohio (1991), and received many coaching accolades in both baseball and basketball, including an award for the biggest turnaround in college baseball at Grove City College in Ohio. Coach Johnson has nearly 20 years of experience in athletic administration at both public and private Christian schools with significant accomplishments in building successful football programs, developing top female athletic programs, and spearheading notable capital campaigns. Bruce is married to his high school sweetheart, Pam, and they have one son, JD, who is a high school teacher and basketball coach in North Carolina.

MACKENZIE SNIDER earned her B.A. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University where she also minored in Psychology and Nonprofit Studies. Since graduating, Mackenzie has worked in a variety of cross-cultural settings both abroad and stateside. Mackenzie’s love of culture and travel has led her to 30 different countries and she is excited to be a part of bringing the nations here to Concord.

Academic Dean

LINDA REEDY has a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Newburgh Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Bob Jones University.  She is beginning her 12th year at Concord Christian School and her 27th year in Christian education.  While Ms. Reedy serves as Academic Dean, she enjoys being in the classroom when classes are available.  She has also coached many sports with volleyball being her main focus.  Ms. Reedy is currently an ACSI Regional Commission Chairperson and consults and leads accreditation visits each year.  Ms. Reedy enjoys travel and has been all over the world serving on short-term mission’s opportunities and leading student groups.

TAMARA DALLERY is the High School Guidance Counselor. She has a BA in Psychology from Gordon College and a Masters in Counseling and Human Development  from Long Island University. Mrs. Dallery has been working with children for over 16 years as a Guidance Counselor, adoption worker and foster care case manager.   She and her husband have been married 29 years and have three children: Will, Abby and Maclean. Mrs. Dallery will be working with student scheduling, college planning and the application process, scholarships, and academic advisory.

EMILE SLOAN has a B.A. degree in Religion from Carson-Newman College. She has over 15 years experience in fundraising, marketing and event planning for non-profit organizations (including Cotton Incorporated). Emile and her husband, Stephen, have been married 16 years. They have 3 children; Drew, Cooper and Molly, who attend CCS. Emile enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

AMANDA BALDWIN graduated with a B.S.. degree in Secondary Education - Social Studies from Tennessee Technology University.  She taught 7th grade Social Studies at Sweetwater Junior High before coming to CCS in 2002.  She taught computer class until receiving her Master's Degree from Johnson University in Bible and Educational Technology.  She became the IT Director for CCS in 2007.  Her husband, Greg Baldwin is a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard and works at UPS.  They have two sons, Jake and Alex, that also attend CCS.

VANESSA MILLS has been an employee of the school for 17 years and a parent at the school since it opened.  Ms. Mills will be receiving her BS in Business Administration, Accounting from the University of Tennessee summer of 2015.  She has a daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter that live in Kentucky and a son that attends college in Ohio.  She loves spending her free time with her family.  She also loves animals, audio books and enjoys spending time in the outdoors.

LISA ROBERTS is starting her tenth year at CCS.  Over the years she has served in various capacities.  Currently she is working in the finance office as Assistant Bookkeeper.  Lisa and her husband, Randy, have been married for 25 years and have two high school boys who have both been students at CCS since kindergarten.  Before having children and working at CCS, Lisa worked at Baptist Hospital as a surgical nurse.

JULIE ARNOLD has worked for CCS since 2015, and worked for FBConcord for 5 years previous to that.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Speech & Theatre, with a concentration in Speech Communication from the University of Tennessee.  She received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee Law School.   Julie is married to Steve, and they have 3 children who have all attended CCS since kindergarten:  Leslie graduated in 2015, Josh graduated in 2017, and Hope is currently in high school.

KAYCE BAILEY attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga majoring in Art Education where she met her husband of 19 years, Jason. Kayce has held numerous administrative and management positions including Vice President and Wholesale Account Manager at Better For Babies, Inc. Kayce has most recently loved being a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother to her five sons and one daughter. Kayce enjoys date nights with her husband, making people laugh and is passionate about advocating for children in foster care.

RACHEL NEWSOME is starting her 5th year at Concord. She has worked in the preschool, elementary, and now the middle school. Rachel received her Bachelor of Social Work from UTC in 2002. She has filled a variety of positions in adoption work, mental health, childcare, and as a personal assistant for a documentary filmmaker. Her favorite role is wife to her husband Caleb and mom to their three kids, all CCS students. She enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and spending time with family.

STEPHANIE KIRKPATRICK attended Roane State Community College majoring in Computer Science. She then went to work for a Naval Contractor in Oak Ridge, TN as a Computer Operator. This is where she met her husband, Gary, and has now been married for 28 years. They love spending time with their three children and their beautiful grandson!  Stephanie has been with the CCS family for nine years, where two out of her three children have attended. Her grandson is now three years old and attends the WEE program and will eventually attend CCS as well.

ANGELA SNYDER has worked at CCS for the past 13 years.  She is married and has two children that both have attended CCS.  Her hobbies are attending sporting events with her family and reading.

STEPHANIE CARTER is the Middle/High School Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Carter received her Associate’s degree in Business Management from Pellissippi State College.  Mrs. Carter has 15 years of experience in the Telecommunications field which includes direct Supervision/Management of a Call Center. She has been married twelve years and has two children: Camden and Madison who both attends Concord Christian School. Mrs. Carter enjoys hiking, gardening and crafting and football.

ROBIN BAXTER graduated from Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor’s in Paralegal Science and later received her Juris Doctor from the George C. Taylor School of Law at the University of Tennessee.  As an attorney, she has held positions within the state court system and at the Tennessee Valley Authority.  Mrs. Baxter and her husband, Brad, have two children and have called Knoxville their home for more than 20 years.  After having the privilege of being a stay at home mom for several years, she is enthusiastic about her new career path.  As a self-proclaimed non-athletic person, Mrs. Baxter is working hard to increase her knowledge of sports daily and is loving every minute of it.  As a parent to two children who have been a part of the educational programs here since preschool, she has a true heart for the ministry of CCS and cannot wait to see what God has in store for our school.

Director of Security

KEVIN GREENE  joined the staff at First Baptist Concord in 2015. He has an extensive background in Law Enforcement including patrol, undercover work and training. In addition to serving as the Security Manager at Concord, Kevin also serves as Supervisor for the Reserve Training Division with the Knox County Sheriff's Office. He is a certified instructor for many subjects, both civilian and law enforcement; including firearms, Taser, verbal deescalation and several others. He is a factory-trained armorer for both Glock and Taser. He is also a State Certified Trainer for TN Handgun Carry permits, as well as TN State Armed Guards.

Kevin and his wife, Melissa, both grew up at First Baptist Concord and even began dating after a college mission trip to South Africa in 2001. They, along with their daughter and son, enjoy going camping and can often be found wandering around Dollywood! When not at work or the firing range, Kevin can be found enjoying a baseball game or training his Belgian Malinois, Mace.
