Middle School Principal

Concord Christian School has an opening for Middle School Principal starting with the 2019-20 academic year.

Founded in 1996, Concord is a private Christian School proudly serving families with children from infant through 12th in West Knoxville, Tennessee. Concord is dually accredited through AdvancEd and ACSI with a current enrollment of over 1200 students from infant through 12th Grade.

Candidates are expected to be proactive and visionary educational leaders who have demonstrated administrative leadership experience at a comparable Christian, private, or public academic institution with a track record of academic excellence while creating a safe and dynamic culture of learning.

Job Requirements
Interested candidates must have strong communication skills, a love of God’s Word, a passion for their faith in Jesus Christ, and the ability to serve as an ambassador for Christian education.

The Middle School Principal reports directly to the Concord Head of School and is expected to work in collaboration with the Concord Leadership Team.  The Middle School Principal is also responsible for working with the Academic Dean, Principals, and Faculty in the selection process of competitive curriculums.  In addition, monitoring academic performance, evaluation staff, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, performing teaching duties as needs arise, and overseeing the administrative staff.  The Middle School Principal works with the HoS also to identify, select and develop an excellent Christian-based faculty and staff.

The Middle School Principal shall be an example spiritually, academically and relationally for the staff, parents, and students.

Education Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a master’s degree in school administration, education or a related field.
  • Candidates should possess at least five years of classroom teaching experience or successful related educational administrative experience.
