Physical Education is a movement and mental class.
The Bible has plenty to say about our bodies being the temple of the Holy Spirit which is living in us; therefore, we are to glorify God with our bodies. Also, the Bible discusses how Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with both God and man in Luke 2:52.
As we apply physical discipline to our bodies, this applies to our lives in every area as we seek to glorify God in all we do.
Another area we try to focus on is in the area of sportsmanship. We try to exemplify the fruit of the Spirit as we display the characteristics of Christ through our lives, even in our sports.
Each year a child grows and develops fine motor skills, becomes more coordinated and overall stronger physically and emotionally. The skills taught continue to improve coordination and physical health as they increase each grade level.
This will prepare them for different sports and activities as they become more skilled and developed.
