Our Story ...
Since 1969, First Baptist Concord has faithfully served the community through Concord Christian Preschool (CCP). Established to support and encourage parents, CCP has provided a firm and positive foundation for thousands of young children. Over the years, CCP has become recognized for its excellence, being named Best Daycare and Best Preschool in CityView’s “Best of the Best” surveys in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Recognizing the growing need for Christian education beyond the preschool years, First Baptist Concord formed a feasibility committee in 1995 to explore the establishment of a primary school. After much prayer and planning, Concord Christian School (CCS) was founded, with growth milestones including:
- Fall 1996: Kindergarten – 3rd Grade opened
- Fall 1997: 4th Grade added
- Fall 1998: 5th Grade added
- Fall 1999: Middle School established with the first 6th-grade class
- Fall 2009: High School established with the first 9th-grade class
- May 2013: First graduating class
- May 2024: Completion of a new Upper School floor with 31 new classrooms
- May 2025: Launch of a new Homeschool Umbrella Program
Since its beginning, CCS has continued to grow and flourish, serving students and families with excellence in Christian education.
The school's mission of "Inspiring students to follow Jesus by equipping them to serve, lead, and transform their world" is at the heart of everything we do, and the administration, staff, and congregation of First Baptist Concord affirm our belief in the sovereignty of God the Father, the deity of His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ, and in the unerring authority of God's Word, the Bible.
