Homestay Program
Host families provide meals, transportation, and support. Their main role is to provide a welcoming home where a student can feel comfortable during their time at Concord. Host families agree to hosting because they want to get to know the student and share their life with them. Our International Program staff makes regular contact with the student and the host family to ensure the student is safe, happy, and well cared for.
We recruit host families through our school and church community. Host families complete an application, background check, and reference check before being approved to host.
Once a student is accepted, they create a short video introducing themselves that we share with potential host families.
- Students will have their own bedroom and a private/ shared bathroom.
- Students and host families are connected 3-4 weeks before arrival.
- Families live an average of 20 minutes away from campus, but no more than 45 minutes away.
- Host families come in all shapes and sizes. Some are retired with no children living at home, some have high school aged children, and others have young children.
