
HEATHER BALDY teaches High School Science for CCS. She earned her M.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a second Major in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. She also has a B.S. in Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Baldy has been teaching since 2004 and is also the Assistant Coach for Science Olympiad, Faculty Advisor for the Key Club, and the Senior Class Faculty Sponsor.

KARA CONNATSER teaches High School Social Studies and is the Social Studies Department Chair. She received an M.A. in History from Western Kentucky University and a B.A. in History from Lindsey Wilson College. She has been in education since 2007.

RACHEL DEANGELIS teaches High School English and is the SGA Sophomore Class Sponsor. She earned an M.Ed. in reading education from the University of Pittsburg and has a B.S. in English Education from Florida State University. She lived in Zhejiang province in China for one year and taught English to college students while there. She is also a regular contributor to the Knoxville Mom's Blog. Mrs. DeAngelis has worked in education since 2011.

ALLISON DOBIAS teaches High School Photography. She earned a B.A. in Film and Digital Media and Theatre from Carson Newman University. She began working in education in 2021.

TANYA FLETCHER teaches ESL in High School for International Students and Middle School Language Arts. She has an M.S. in English as a Second Language Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the State University of NY at Geneseo. Mrs. Fletcher is also the International Program Homestay Coordinator.

LESLIE FOX teaches High School Science and is the Middle School Volleyball Coach. She earned an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Lee University and also has a B.A. in Biology from Maryville College. She has been in education since 2012.

BECKY FRASER teaches High School Art. She earned a BFA from the University of Tennessee. She has been working in education since 2005. Mrs. Fraser is the Fine Arts Department Chair and the SGA Advisor.

JOANNIE HAM teaches High School Science and is the Science Department Head. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois. She also has a B.A. in Anthropology from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Ham is also the Head Coach of the school's Science Olympiad Team and the Senior Class Sponsor for the SGA.

MICHAEL HAM is the full-time high school substitute. He earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and also holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Penn State. Mr. Ham has been working in education since 2014.

ANNA HAWKINS is teaching Middle School Chorus and High School Latin. She earned a B.A. in Church Music and Christian Education from Bryan College. She has been working in education since 2002 and is currently working towards an M.S. Degree in Language Studies. Mrs. Hawkins also leads the High School Worship Team.

CHRIS HAWKINS is teaching High School Apologetics and New Testament. He earned an M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.A. from Bryan College.

ANTHONY LAMB teaches Middle and High School Physical Education and Wellness. He has a B.S. in Secondary Education from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. He has held various teaching and administrative positions in Christian Education since 1988.


TAMMY LIGHTHOLDER is a High School English Teacher, the English Department Chair, and the High School Support Plan Coordinator. She earned a B.A. from Westminster College in Speech/Broadcasting and Religion. Her work began in the production of a live daily Christian television show in Pittsburgh before feeling called to teach in 1985.


MATT STEPHENS teaches Band, High School Music Theory, and High School Bible. He earned a B.S. of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Carson-Newman University. Mr. Stephens also studied composition and jazz performance in his time at Carson-Newman. He has been working in education since 2012.

LESLIE STEWART earned an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee. She also graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in mathematics and psychology. She has been working in education since 1990 and teaches High School Math.

MARY TERRY teaches High School English. She earned an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Spanish from the University of North Carolina. Mrs. Terry has been working in education since 2011. She is also the SGA Junior Class Sponsor and is on the Philosophy and Foundation Accreditation Committee.

REBECCA VANDEMARK is teaching High School Social Studies. She earned an MPA from Regent University and has an International Human Rights Law Certificate from the Washington College of Law at American University. She also has a B.A. from Cedarvill University. Mrs. VanDeMark has been working in education since 2004 is also the Multicultural Club Advisor and the SGA Junior Class Advisor.

ELAINE WALKER is teaching High School Math. She received her M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and a double major in Microbiology and Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She also has graduate hours in chemistry and math. She has been working in education since 1997.

CHRISTI WATSON is teaching Theatre Arts and High School Bible. She received her BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and Communication from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She has performed all over the country as an actor/singer, including Off-Broadway. Mrs. Watson has been working in education since 2012.

KEVIN WINSLETT teaches High School History. He earned an M.S. in Education and a B.A. in History from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. He has been working in education since 2006. Mr. Winslett is also the High School Football Coach and the History Club Sponsor.

SONYA WRIGHT teaches High School Spanish. She earned her B.S. in Secondary Education from Hyles-Anderson College. She and her husband, Pete, served for eleven years as missionaries with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism in Santiago, Chile. Mrs. Wright has been working in education since 2000. She is also the World Language Department Chair.
