Athletic Trainer

Welcome to Sports Medicine!

Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who work as part of a professional health care team. Concord Christian School is privileged to have an athletic trainer on site daily as part of a partnership with Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic.

Anna Hamilton, MS, LAT, ATC is the full time certified athletic trainer for CCS since July 2019. She received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Tennessee Technological University in 2015 and went forth to obtain a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training at Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. She has been certified for two years and has spent the last 5 years in clinical rotations at various levels and places including Division 1 football, soccer and softball, and numerous clinics. The role of athletic trainer is perfect for Anna because she loves to help others and she loves sports. Athletic training embraces both of those characteristics and that is the reason she chose this profession. In her spare time, she loves to golf or be on the lake boating with family and friends. When she is not cheering on Concord, you will find her cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. She is enjoying her time at Concord and can see a bright future for Concord Athletics.
